Overview of Junior Secondary School (JSS)
At VFM, the Junior Secondary School (JSS) phase builds on the strong foundation established in primary, guiding learners through Grades 7 to 9 with a deeper focus on skill development, critical thinking, and career awareness. Learning is interactive and hands-on, with projects, teamwork, and real-life applications guiding the process. Students explore different subjects and begin to discover their strengths and interests for future pathways.
Teachers provide close guidance, supporting both academic growth and personal development. At the end of Grade 9, learners sit for the Kenya Junior School Education Assessment (KJSEA), preparing them for transition into senior secondary school.
