        Overview of primary school

VFM upholds the new CBE primary school design where children progress through Grades 1 to 6. The focus is on building skills step by step, with each grade helping learners grow in confidence, creativity, and problem‑solving. Pupils learn by doing, through projects, group work, and practical activities that connect directly to everyday life. Teachers guide learners to discover their strengths, while parents see their children developing not only academically but also socially and emotionally. By the end of Grade 6, learners are well prepared to transition smoothly into junior secondary, carrying with them the skills and values needed for future success. This is after sitting for a national assessment, the Kenya Primary School Education (KPSEA).

      • Important information for you

        Progress report

The students are expected to come with spring files, where the assessment reports for each learning area are attached for the students to carry home. However, we encourage parents to accompany the pupils to school to pick the reports after every assessment result is completed and compiled. The reports are also shared on the Parents’ portal at the end of each assessment. The Parent-Teacher Consultations are encouraged regularly to assist in the progress of the child.

        Term Events

Every termly events are shared in the students portal at the beginning of every term. We encourage parents and students to visit the portal regularly to get updated on the upcoming events.

        Health and Nutrition

At VFM, we believe healthy bodies fuel healthy minds. That’s why we place a strong focus on balanced nutrition and overall wellness in every child’s daily experience. We provide two meals that are professionally prepared to support growth, concentration, and sustained energy. In addition, we have a school clinic and well trained early childhood educators working hand in hand to ensure every child’s health needs are promptly cared for. This holistic approach ensures that your child is eating well, feeling well, and thriving every day.

      • Child's safety

At VFM, your child’s safety and well-being come first. We provide a secure, closely supervised environment with trained staff, controlled access, and clear safeguarding policies that protect every learner throughout the school day. Just as importantly, we foster emotional security through a caring, respectful culture where every child feels seen, heard, and valued. With VFM, you can have complete peace of mind knowing your child is safe, supported, and thriving.
